Writing Prompts

Write on Wednesdays: Who do you love? – Self Love Edition

by

When I was little, every day we had free writing time right after the bell rang. It caused immediate calm and quiet. Everyone knew just what to do: get out a piece of paper and pencil, and look on the board for the writing prompt. Sometimes it was a question like How was your weekend? or What is your favorite book? Every now and then it was a question that stuck with you the entire day. The teacher invited you to share what you wrote, but I never shared my musings.

Throughout my life writing has always been a way to hash out thoughts to start a plan for some new adventure. Morning pages are a must for anyone wanting to learn more about themselves. More importantly it’s a great way to record memories, your state of mind, your voice.

So what is a writing prompt?
A writing prompt is just a little push to get you started with writing ideas. You’re free to stick to the subjects I leave here or let your mind wander. I know that thinking of what to write can be daunting, so I put together a list of 5 writing prompts below every week to give you some fresh ideas.

We are continuing our series dedicated to the people in our lives we love: Who do you love? Let’s celebrate our selves. Self love is so underrated.

  1. What do you love about yourself? Don’t be shy!
  2. What traits or characteristics do you think other like/love about you?
  3. What self love ritual do have? Treat yourself!
  4. What’s something you have been meaning to congratulate yourself on doing?
  5. Where am I blocking my own love from myself?
