Writing Prompts

Write on Wednesdays: Who do you love? – Bestie Edition

When I was little, every day we had free writing time right after the bell rang. It caused immediate calm and quiet. Everyone knew just what to do: get out a piece of paper and pencil, and look on the board for the writing prompt. Sometimes it was a question like How was your weekend? or What is your favorite book? Every now and then it was a question that stuck with you the entire day. The teacher invited you to share what you wrote, but I never shared my musings.

Throughout my life writing has always been a way to hash out thoughts to start a plan for some new adventure. Morning pages are a must for anyone wanting to learn more about themselves. More importantly it’s a great way to record memories, your state of mind, your voice.

So what is a writing prompt?
A writing prompt is just a little push to get you started with writing ideas. You’re free to stick to the subjects I leave here or let your mind wander. I know that thinking of what to write can be daunting, so I put together a list of 5 writing prompts below every week to give you some fresh ideas.

We are continuing our series dedicated to the people in our lives we love: Who do you love? Let’s celebrate our sister from another mister or our brother from another mother. Our best friends.

  1. How did you meet?
  2. What traits or characteristics does you bestie have that you love/hate?
  3. Remember that time…
  4. What’s something you have been meaning to say to your bestie?
  5. What adventures would like to next with your bestie?
